What’s New At KURE Pain Management?

We are very happy to announce that Kure Pain Management and Smart Pain Management have joined forces. This merger enhances the ability of our skilled providers to help patients in pain and combat the current opioid epidemic.

Kure Pain Management SMART Pain Management

Our patients will continue to receive the same outstanding care from our providers at our Maryland, Delaware and Michigan locations.  We are also happy to welcome Alan Gonzalez-Cota, M.D. to the Kure Family….

University of Michigan Hospital graduate, Dr. Gonzalez-Cota is board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Pain Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez-Cota is also certified in Interventional Pain Practice by the World Institute of Pain Board. His numerous achievements include the Resident Scholar Award from the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research. He is also the past President and CEO of the Delaware Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Gonzalez-Cota specializes in intractable pain syndromes, particularly reflex sympathetic dystrophy, persistent pain after spine surgery, and pelvic pain. He recommends cognitive-behavioral interventions, physical therapy, home exercise, and a nutrient-dense diet to all patients in chronic pain. If pain is intractable and the patient’s health is deteriorating, he may offer minimally invasive interventions to repair damaged tissues, regenerate cells, modulate painful neuronal signals, or to suppress inflammation directly to restore the patient’s mind and the body’s balance.
